1. What kinds of teachers can use the program?
Classroom teachers, reading specialists, ESE teachers, counselors, music teachers, drama teachers, after-school program administrators, character education teachers, youth mentors and parents are all able to use the Principle Woods materials. The curriculum is easily implemented, clear and precise.

2. Why is the program so integrated?
The more integrated the program, the more effective the program. Educators suffer a lack of free time; therefore, we have created a program that allows them to tackle character education, reading, writing and critical thinking simultaneously.

3. How many principles are there in the Grand Oak and Seedling series?
Nine principles will be addressed in the series. We have found that, though there are many, principles in addition to these nine, they begin to overlap in theme.

4. What Grand Oak and Seedling principle will be published next?
Fairness.

5. Some of your characters have strong personalities, why is this?
The fact is, many children have strong personalities and reading about characters that reflect their same traits is reassuring and interesting. Through the characters’ different personality traits—good, naughty and somewhere in between—conflicts and problems are resolved and a lesson is learned. Good examples and non-examples are carefully woven into each story to strike the same balance children face in their world daily.

6. Is your curriculum divided into different levels?
Yes, Principle Woods has created three levels of curriculum. Acorn is designed for grades PreK - 1, Seedling is design for grades 2-3 and Grand Oak is designed for grades 4 - 5. more info

8. Why are your Seedling and Grand Oak books so rich with illustrations?
Many children are visual learners. Often children struggle during the transition from illustrated storybooks to chapter books. Principle Woods’ unique design creates the best of both worlds for all readers.

Yes

10. Have any of the Principle Woods books been produced in other languages?
Yes. The Pro-Social Acorn readers have been translated into Spanish.
